CNC Machinist

We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Corporate family. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or training in CNC machining. They will machine various components for finished products including material handling carts and racks, automation machines, lifting devices, and much more. They must demonstrate competency in basic programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment following all safety precautions. Strong attention to detail is a key element of the position. Additionally, they will keep the facility clean by removing debris and trash to ensure safety.


Individuals of all experience levels will be considered; starting pay will be based on experience. Will train the right individual.

Job Duties:

  • Set-up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machine tools
  • Machine components to close tolerance specifications
  • Visually inspect work for conformance to print specifications.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Document daily output by completing required production and quality logs.
  • Keep the worksite clean.
  • Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines.


Requirements:

  • Skilled in operation of CNC machinery and tooling
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Basic CAD/CAM computer programming knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
  • An eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Meet the individual production goals and deadlines during shift
  • Good communication abilities
  • Can work alone or with a team
  • Knowledge of basic safety rules and standards
  • Forklift certifiable is a plus


Physical and Work Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to stand/walk/work for 8-10 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift and/or move 25lbs., occasionally lift and/or move 40lbs
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day to day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
  • Must have good hand and eye coordination
  • Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods


Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of related CNC experience preferred, not required
  • Will train the right candidate


Education:

  • CNC certification from a two-year college or technical school preferred, not required
