Job Duties:
• Creative product designs utilizing cost-saving solutions to customer problems.
• Create product models using CAD.
• Present designs and concepts to customers and project managers.
• Coordinate and validate product designs match internal manufacturing capabilities.
• Create and maintain documentation including Bill of Materials (BOM), part drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, and job routings.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documents, and production schedules.
• Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues that arise during manufacturing.
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven skills as a key contributor for concept and design development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with production and manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with CNC machining, Laser Cutting, 3D printing, or other relevant manufacturing technologies is a plus.
• APQP/PPAP Quality experience is a plus.
• Cost reduction experience is a plus.
