Industrial Painter

We are looking for an Industrial Painter to join our corporate team. The ideal candidate will excel working with a team to prepare and paint various material handling parts and equipment.  Additionally, they will comply with all safety regulations, PPE and keep the facility clean by removing debris and trash to ensure safety.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, mix, and handle enamel paint per manufacturer's specifications
  • Apply enamel coatings in desired thickness using spray application
  • Disassemble clean and repair all painting equipment
  • Prepare parts for painting by deburring/grinding with a hand grinder to remove sharp edges or weld splatter 
  • Hang parts on the paint line conveyor
  • Wash parts with 3-step cleaning process
  • Dry parts with compressed air hand-held wand
  • Remove painted parts from the paint line conveyor when dry
  • Operate material handling equipment including lift trucks, pallet jacks, line conveyor, and carts to stage, load, and unload work-in-process materials at the paint line or other departments as needed
  • Operate hand tools, fixed/portable power tools, tumbler, etc. as required
  • Light assembly 
  • Keep worksite clean
  • Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines
  • Other duties may be assigned


Requirements:

  • Meet individual production goals and deadlines during shift
  • Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures
  • Work with a team


Physical and Work Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to stand/walk/work for 8-10 hours per day
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day-to-day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
  • Must have good hand and eye coordination
  • Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods


Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of painting experience preferred, not required


Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, not required
