We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. This role is critical in sourcing raw materials, components, equipment, and services, as well as managing vendor relationships. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for performing strategic procurement activities across various spending categories to secure better deals and more profitable suppliers. This position requires expertise in supplier relationship management, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of market trends to optimize the procurement process effectively.

Compensation:
    $65,000-$95,000 annual salary, based on experience.

Responsibilities:
    Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
    Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
    Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
    Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
    Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
    Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
    Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power.
    Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
    Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
    Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
    Identify alternative sources as required to mitigate supply interruption.
    Resolve disputes, advise leadership when escalation is required.
    Cost recovery when suppliers commit errors or fail to meet commitments.

Requirements:
    Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager, Agent, or Officer.
    Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
    A knack for negotiation and networking.
    Working experience with vendor management software.
    Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.
    Solid judgment along with decision-making skills.
    Strong leadership capabilities.

Experience:
    A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Education:
    BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is required.
    Certifications such as C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) or A.P.P. (Accredited Purchasing Professional) are considered a plus.
